Ricardo Maldonado Yañez has over 20 years of experience providing advice and counseling to Mexican and foreign companies and clients on domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He also represents issuers and financial institutions in a number of domestic and international, public and private, debt and equity offerings, and advises clients in the negotiation, structuring and drafting of commercial loans, in complex financings and in infrastructure projects.

Mr Maldonado is also actively participating in the Mexican hydrocarbons sector. In recent dates, Mr. Maldonado has represented a number of players in this market in the negotiation of agreements for the construction, sale and charter of several drilling units, in the acquisition of vessels engaged in oil related activities, in the formation of a joint-venture to acquire, operate and manage drilling units, in the formation of a joint-venture to perform oil exploration and production activities in Mexico, and in other investments in companies engaged in the design, engineering, construction, rehabilitation and maintenance for oil infrastructure.

Alfa, Gruma, Grupo Televisa, Industrias CH, Grupo Simec, Fintech Advisory, Perrigo Company, Pemex, Grupo Evya, Credit Suisse and Volaris are some of the clients advised by Mr Maldonado in his different fields of practice.

Mr Maldonado serves as member and/or secretary of the Board of Directors of several companies including Grupo Televisa, Consorcio Ara, Volaris, Banco Ahorro Famsa, Grupo Axo, SeaMex Ltd. (and other companies owning oil assets), Intellego Consulting, Grupo Evya, Biossmann Group, Empresas Cablevisión, Banco Forjadores, Grupo Pueblo Bonito, Resuelve Tu Deuda and e-Zuza México.
